Announcements Middle School in Silverton Standard Silverton Middle School students created a page in the Silverton Standard as of December 4th. Students reported on climbing competitions, field work, and a Silverton Person of the Month. Stay tuned for the next issue in January!
![]() Upcoming Field WorkSilverton Middle School and our three Rwandan guests are heading to Fort Collins and Denver for field work. We will be leaving Tuesday, November 27th and coming back to Silverton Friday, November 30th.
We will be collaborating with Polaris EL School, CSU faculty, and we will be visiting media outlets on the Front Range. Permission slips should be turned in to Mrs. B. by Tuesday, November 20th. Field Work fees should be turned in to Evelyn next week. ![]() Field Work Permission Slips due TOMORROW Middle School permisson slips are due TOMORROW: Tuesday, October 30th. Permission slips need to be signed and turned into Mrs. Barszcz. Middle School students are headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico next week for field work.

Students should be at school at 7:30am since we will be leaving for Durango at 7:45am. We will return at 7:00pm. Students need to bring a lunch, water bottle, swimsuit and towel. The Standard is an award-winning newspaper, and a staple for Silverton locals. Click on the link to see The Durango Herald's website and news coverage. Students are studying news accuracy and bias, as well as the health of newspapers in a digital age. |
